Keith was raised in a military family. His father was an Army Officer for 26 years, retiring as a Colonel. Keith went to 17 schools before getting to a college, and when he went to College, he went to several of them. He was not kicked out or suspended, and he was not a troublesome youth, as that would have been far to melodramatic, fitting into the story of a superhero instead.
He majored in Animal Science, Architecture, Modeling at one time, Theology, and Computer Sciences, having accumulated something in the neighborhood of 165 credit hours and no degree. He also excelled in any of the writing classes that he took, in all of those course studies, being told that he had a real gift. In one class he got a D. This was sad for one who considered himself an accomplished writer.
