A most curious trial and of infinite importance to the interests and happiness of society, - Mead, Esq., barrister at law against the Rev. Mr. Daubney for slanderby which he lost his marriage with Miss. Barnston, a beautiful and accomplished young lady and possessed of a fortune of fifteen thousand pounds : the plaintiff laid his damages at ten thousand pounds and received a verdict of five hundred : tried before the Right Honourable Lloyd Lord Kenyon and a special jury of merchants, at Guildhall, London, on the 6th of June, 1792
