A distinction between the new covenant and the oldand how that in the old covenant the Jews priests lips were to preserve the Jews peoples knowledge: but in the new and everlasting covenant Christ the high-priest, is the treasure of wisdom and knowledge, and he filleth the earth with the knowledge of the Lord God; and the earth being full of the knowledge of the Lord God, then there is no want of it in the eath. And Christ the high-priest, he doth not only fill the earth with knowledge of the Lord God, but covereth the earth with the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters do the sea; so the earth shall not be seen. So then it may be seen, that the substance in the new covenant is far beyond the figure in the old covenant. Read, hear, see, perceive and understand, receive and possesss.n.1679-01-01

Something In Ansvver To the Old Common-Prayer-Book, And For The Information Of those who are for it; which is much of it taken out of the Old Mass-Book. Both which are got up since the Apostles dayes : for them in Meekness and Patience to read over, consider and try by the Scrip- tures of Truth, whether or no they are not degenerated from the Apostles. The Scriptures in all your Books are owned in themselves, in the condition to which they were spoken, and Him in whom they end, the Life; But the Imaginations of them no man can own that fears Godfor the Spirit of Truth which gave them forth must lead into all Truth; which is our Leader and Comforter, and the Worlds Re- prover, which they and you must come into, before you come into the Truth of the Scriptures, John 14. 16. Ch. 16. from the 6th. to the 15th. So this is an Answer to something of the Common-Prayer, which things we find not agreeable to the Scriptures, nor the Apostles, nor the true Church. And that the Apostles did not set forth a Common-Prayer, that such a Prayer they should say on Sunday, and Monday, and Wednesday, and Thursday, and Saturday, and Morning-Prayers, and Evening-Prayers. But that they should Pray in the SpiritPrinted for Robert Wilson, at the Sign of the Black-spread-

This is a controversy betwixt the Quakers and the PapistsBeing answers to several papers, and replies to the answers of the Romish spiritual Aegyptian Sea, whose tongue hath of late spoke, and Sea hath the late swelled; but the bounds, which is the power of God, which the apostles was in, keeps it from over-flowing. And also here is some queries for them to answer, and also a challenge for them to come forth to try their Christ and God, which they make of bread and wine, to the people called Quakers, and not to be ashamed of him, for we are not ashamed of Christ before men. For they that love the light will bring their deeds to the light, that it may be manifest whether they be wrought in God yea or no, Joh. 3. Whereunto is added an answer to a paper of Henry Forts, one who is turned against the truths.n.]
