William Towner Morgan was born in 1933 in Pipestone, Minnesota. His parents were William Towner Morgan (1884-1933) and Mabelle Courtenay Brown (1887-1964). His grandparents were Joseph Homer Morgan (1841-1912), Susan Maxwell (1845-1917), Warrington Brown (1845-1937) and Mary Halliday (1847-1938). Ancestors and relatives lived mainly in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Vermont, Ireland and England.
