Das Gartenprojekt folgt dem jahreszeitlichen Rhythmus und wird nach dem Gartenphilosophen und Staudenzüchter Karl Foerster in Winter, Vorfrühling, Frühling, Frühsommer, Hochsommer, Herbst und Spätherbst eingeteilt. In sieben Symposien wurden insgesamt 28 Pflanzen des Gartens untersucht. Geht es sonst um die Akteure im Haus, richtet sich bei diesem Projekt der Fokus auf die Akteure im Garten, auf Pflanzen und Bäume. Sie werden von Kunsthistorikern, Künstlerinnen, Architekten, Designerinnen gründlich unter die Lupe genommen und wie Kunstwerke betrachtet.
