Ouvrage publié à l'occasion de l'exposition présentée au Musée-Promenade de Marly-le-Roy du 28 septembre 2013 au 2 février 2014. Entre 1951 et 1965, Le Corbusier (1887-1965) conçoit la ville de Chandigarh, capitale du Pendjab en Inde, et construit ses principaux bâtiments, notamment ceux du centre administratif situés sur le Capitole, son "grand oeuvre". L'exposition retrace les principes d'urbanisme et d'architecture définis par Le Corbusier, enfin mis en oeuvre à Chandigarh. En effet, cette ville constitue l'unique projet urbain réalisé selon la pensée de l'architecte. Les plans et dessins, prêtés par la Fondation Le Corbusier, témoignent des préoccupations de l'architecte dans le rapport de l'architecture à la nature, au soleil et au climat.
