...a joint long range plan for the Tufts University Health Sciences Campus and the New England Medical Center located in the South Cove area of downtown Boston and adjacent to Chinatown; the 1982 edition includes a chronology of the development of the master plan (1962-1982), an overview of the campus, program goals, development projects planned (hospital/medical facilities, parking, housing, etc.); appendices include description of existing buildings (with dates of construction), the 1966 Cooperation Agreement with the BRA and it's 1968 supplement, the Hospital's building evaluation criteria, summary of accreditation review comments, the Flansburgh Report, Pratt-Farnsworth buildings nursing units renovation study and an animal facility review; the 1989 and 1990 edition updates much of the above and in addition covers such issues as urban design, zoning, architecture, pedestrian access, historic preservation, transportation, parking and community benefit (housing and job linkage, employment training, affirmative action, multi-lingual interpreter services, open space, health services, etc.); a two page errata sheet and 7p. public benefits section accompany the 1990 edition; copies of these items were in the BRA collection...
