Description

Oliver Johnson writes to William Lloyd Garrison concerning the scheduling of speakers for upcoming anti-slavery meetings and lectures. Johnson states that Dr. Cheever will be unable to speak at their upcoming engagement, and that he has not heard yet from Mr. Furness, although Mr. McKim assures him that Mr. Furness will be in attendence. Johnson states that Mr. McKim has additionally requested that they invite Miss Watkins to speak. Johnson states that Frothingham, Purvis, and Rev. Mr. Sloane all all engaged for their meeting. Johhson closes by requesting that Garrison prepare a selection of hymns for the meeting, and that he publish in the next issue of "The Liberator" the "little paragraph appended in the Standard to the call for our yearly meeting."
