Collaboration between corporations and nongovernmental organizations to foster societal betterment is becoming increasingly common and strategically important in the areas of environmental preservation and sustainable development. This paper examines a series of such cross-sector alliances in the Americas. The analysis will identify the motivations for partnering and explore the dynamics of the relationships in terms of patterns of evolution.
