Description

The inductively-coupled plasma spectrometry (ICP-MS) technique, used to analyze and identify trace elements in water and other materials, was discussed. It was illustrated that this technique was used to detect trace elements in order to determine the origin of waste water from a uranium mine in the Northern Territory of Australia. In addition, it was explained that this method was also used as an indicator for dewatering at a silver/lead zinc mine.
