Description
In the continent with the highest level of violence against people in resistance to extractivism, the analysis inputs allow us to go beyond the data and see patterns, which too often end up in the murder of human rights defenders, the environment and territory. From four emblematic cases in Bolivia, Peru, Colombia and Ecuador, contexts of enormous asymmetries of power and resources among extractive companies, communities and defenders, these forms of repression have been systematized, by physical force, by the rules and through the speeches, in order to unravel their frameworks and seek defense and resistance strategies. In addition, in order to delve deeper into the problem, the text emphasizes the way these abuses take in the body of women defenders.
