Description
In the first report the data obtained from the 1948 origin-and-destination study of traffic in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area has been analyzed to determine the effects that distance of residence and length of driving time has upon trips made to the central business district and to 14 selected suburban shopping centers. In the second report basic factors are discussed which are desirable to create the best retail mechanism and a long range investment in regional centers.
