Die antiken Schriftquellen lassen zudem die frühe Geschichte der Menschheit wie eine einzige Folge von Kriegen, Schlachten und Gewalttaten erscheinen. Die Ausstellung umfasst originale Objekte sowie Abgüsse antiker Bildwerke und beleuchtet den gesellschaftlichen Umgang mit medialer Gewalt in der Antike und heute. Tagtäglich konfrontieren uns die Medien mit Berichten und Bildern von Gewaltakten. Sie schockieren und faszinieren gleichzeitig. Im Zentrum steht die Frage nach der Bedeutung und der Funktion von diesen Darstellungen. Exhibition: Antikenmuseum Basel, Switzerland (02.09.2016 - 29.01.2017).
