Description
Jerry Hazzard became a National Instructor of Underwater Swimming in 1966 and a BSAC First Class Diver in 1967. He has been the BSAC's Director of Coaching since 1972, is a PADI instructor (USA), and has been appointed to the International College of Instructors of the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques. The author, editor of the current BSAC Diving Manual, has written this book particularly with the beginner in mind, and covers, in a clear and detailed way, the physics and physiology of diving, the use and maintenance of equipment, and training exercises, and suggests various activities that can be pursued by the sports diver.
