Description

This state-of-the-art review identifies and discusses existing methods and techniques of machinery monitoring and diagnostics applicable to submarine-installed machineries, their limitations, and base-technology needs. Also included are discussions of machinery monitoring and its concept, condition monitoring and diagnostics techniques, machinery maintenance programs, vibration monitoring techniques and the current practice in U.S. Navy machinery vibration monitoring programs.
