Description
This book consists of courses given by José Ortega y Gasset from 1929 through 1931. The first course was offered during the academic year 1929-1930, which the editor has assigned the title "Life as Performance (Performative Being)." The second course was a mini-course offered beginning in April 1930, with the title "Concerning Radical Reality." The third course offered for 1930-1931 was entitled "What is Life?" and was split by the editor into two parts, the first having the course title and the second with the title "Glimpses of the History of Philosophy." The Appendix, "Ideas and Beliefs," was first published in 1934.
