The focus of New Horizons is on communication in everyday situations. That's why we try to build up a useful vocabulary within a systematic presentation of grammar. Each unit of study has a unifying theme, and the language itself is contemporary, relevant English—English students can and will use outside the classroom. We believe it is essential that students take an active part in the learning. A unique step in the learning process is simultaneous pairwork which gives each student many opportunities for individual practice, and encourages student interaction and teamwork. We also believe it is essential that students (and teachers) have fun in the classroom.
