Karl Erik Harr is one of Norway's most prominent contemporary artists in figurative painting. Also as an art critic and social voice, Harr has left clear traces behind him, as one of the main representatives of the neo-romantic direction in Norwegian art and cultural life from the mid-1960s. In this book, the artist tells his own story, from his childhood in the 1940s to today. In a close and oral tone, we hear about a rich and multifaceted life consisting of people, places, exhibitions, illustrations, decorations, books, community involvement and debate. Through the constant changes, the images always follow, where Harr's motif circle is particularly concentrated on northern Norway and northern Norwegian nature and landscape Karl Erik Harr står som en av Norges mest markante samtidskunstnere innen det figurative maleriet.
