Description
This zine has interviews with women who choose not to marry for various reasons. Participants range in age from 23-61. Among them are queer, straight, straightedge, asexual, divorced, and vegan women.
Description
Katie, author of The La-La Theory, compiles interviews with female zinesters (including Ciara Xyerra, Alex Wrekk, and Johanna Eeva) who oppose the institution of marriage. Both straight and queer zinesters were interviewed, including some who have already been married for love or health insurance. They discuss sexism in marriage, the idea of making a relationship legitimate, and the ways in which their religious and political (e.g. anarchist) beliefs conflict with the idea of mainstream heterosexual marriage.
