Description

Jamaica Avenue follows three intertwining lives: a man who is an addict, a spirit who comes back as a woman, and a woman who becomes a ghost. Yesterday's Window is a play about a woman and her imaginary daughter, and the outside world that intrudes on their relationship. Antigone's Red is set in a relocation camp in the middle of a desert for Japanese citizens during World War II. Antigone's lover is faced with making a decision on loyalty questions that the government imposes on imprisoned Japanese Americans. I Have Been to Hiroshima Mon Amour takes place in "reconstructed" Hiroshima in 1959. A French actress and a Japanese architect have a passionate one-night affair, which conjures memories of their respective first loves, both of whom died during WWII. In America Dreaming, Yuki time-travels through a fabricated history of the U.S., which is collectively created by a nation that does not want to remember its mistakes.
