Description

Held in the same chapel where Ralph Waldo Emerson delivered his provocative Divinity School address, this event features poet and journalist Eliza Griswold, who reads from her selected translations of contemporary Afghan landays, I Am the Beggar of the World, which was awarded a 2015 PEN Prize, along with poems from her forthcoming collection. She discusses the relationship between her work as a journalist and as a poet and how the two forms of close observance inform one another. A Question and answer session follows.
