Zwischen 1906 und 1936 trug das Schweizer Ehepaar Arthur und Hedy Hahnloser-Bühler in seinem Wohnhaus in Winterthur ? der Villa Flora ? eine umfangreiche Sammlung postimpressionistischer Kunst zusammen. Schwerpunkte der einzigartigen Kollektion liegen bei den Nabis-Künstlern Félix Vallotton, Pierre Bonnard und Édouard Vuillard sowie den Fauves um Henri Matisse. Durch ihre Werke und den freundschaftlichen Austausch der Sammler mit den Künstlern wurde die ?Flora± zu einem Ort der Einheit von Kunst und Leben. Ein Aufbruch in die Moderne nahm hier seinen Anfang und wirkte weit über die Grenzen des privaten Mäzenatentums hinaus auch befruchtend für das öffentliche Sammeln.000Exhibition: Staatsgalerie, Stuttgart, Germany (03.02. - 18.06.2017).
