Zum Projekt Neues Frankfurt von 1919 bis 1933 gehörte nicht nur ein beispielhaftes Städte- und Wohnungsbauprogramm, sondern der universale Anspruch, im Produkt-, Mode-, Interieur-, Industrie-, Grafik- und Kommunikationsdesign sowie in den angewandten und freien Künsten mit neuen Formen alle Bereiche des menschlichen Lebens zu erfassen. Im Verbund mit einer forcierten Industrialisierung ging es darum, eine neue urbane Gesellschaft zu formen. Die Ausstellung und Publikation Moderne am Main 1919-1933 will mit bekannten und weniger bekannten Protagonistinnen und Protagonisten dieser ästhetischen und geistigen Strömung, vor allem aber auch mit deren Netzwerken vertraut machen. Exhibition: Museum Angewandte Kunst, Frankfurt am Main, Germany (19.01. - 14.04.2019).
