Description
This book - I have a copy was compiled by Robert Nicholls in 1929. One of a short series that he published to provide an income. It is not a story as such, it is a collection of little publiched facts taken from trade directories such as the times of the stage coaches. Most of the material - un connected is collected from The Historial Collection of Staffordshire. Hardly worth any cost except for historical value - sorry. If you are really interested about Penkhull, in Stoke-upon-Trent then the latest book 'The Royal Manor of Penkhull, is the largest book ever written dealing with a part of N.Staffordshire at over 300,000 words and nearly 400 pictures.
