Unter dem Titel "Adolph Schroedter. Humor und Poesie im Biedermeier" stellt die Städtische Galerie einen Künstler vor, der im 19. Jahrhundert nicht nur zu den führen den Vertretern der Genremalerei in Deutschland zählte, sondern aufgrund seiner politischen Grafiken zur Revolution von 1848/49 auch als herausragender Wegbereiter der Gattung Comic gilt. Die Ausstellung ist die erste Retrospektive seit 1905: Mit etwa 150 Exponaten, darunter zahlreiche Leihgaben aus bedeutenden deutschen Museen, vermittelt sie einen repräsentativen Querschnitt durch die malerischen und grafischen Arbeiten des 1875 in Karlsruhe verstorbenen Künstlers. Ausstellung: Städtische Galerie, Karlsruhe (12. Dezember 2009 - 5. April 2010).
