Description
I read it years and years ago...to the best of my recollection, Jessica is a young wife and mother with too much to do. The 1st generation of young women buying into the "have it all" myth...Of course, Jessica realizes it is a myth, and the reason men are able to "have it all" is that men have wives doing the heavy lifting! Jessica decides her life would be great if SHE could have a wife. So after auditioning a few young women (her delighted husband benefits from the auditions, as well) Jessica chooses a wife - a young woman who shares the cleaning, appts, child-minding, and has dinner on the table when she gets home. She and her husband also share a bedroom with Jessica's wife, exercising all their options. The story explores the drawbacks and benefits of working women and open marriage in an entertaining way.
