Description
Smith Hawley(1847-1923) was born in Onondago County, Ontario near Hamilton and died in Ludington, Michigan. He married Gertrude Schafer (1846-1927) on 9 June 1867. She was born in Prussia, Germany. "When she was nine years of age the family emigrated to America and settled on a farm in Clinton, Co., Mich."--P.14. She died in Luddington, Michigan. Descendants lived in Michigan and elsewhere.
