Description

At its inauguration in 1863, the Municipal Hospital of Copenhagen was the most modern hospital in Denmark. It was closed in 1999 and reemerged in 2005 as the Centre for Health and Society. Architectural photographer Jens Markus Lindhe, design historian Birgit Lyngbye Pedersen and architecture editor at the daily of Politiken Karsten R. S. Ifversen tell the story of the building and of the Municipal Hospital and guide the reader through a pictorial walk through the new university campus.
