Description

This publication presents the output of the project "Alternative Politics? The Rise of New Political Formations in Central Europe: Reasons, Factors, Consequences" supported by the International Visegrad Fund and Heinrich Böll Foundation. In recent years new political entities of diverse ideological profiles have emerged in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Some of them became significant parts of party systems, reaching success in elections and influencing the policy making process. These formations vary in terms of their programmatic profiles, ideological orientations and political style; however, some similarities exist in their interaction with the established party system and in their communication with the electorate. --
