Description
The Higher Education General Information Survey (HEGIS) XVI package consists of several sub-surveys, one of which is entitled ''Residence and Migration of College Students, Fall 1981''. The universe of this survey consists of 3,287 institutions of higher education in the United States and its outlying areas. The file contains reported data for 2,998 institutions and imputed data for 289 institutions. Only students enrolled for the first time at each of the following levels were reported: undergraduate, graduate, first-professional, or unclassified. Data include: enrollment, state of residence, part- and full-time, and transfers.
