Description
Rachel hadn’t seen Felix since her older sister Devon had dumped and forgotten him in the same breath. Now they had met at her brother George’s wedding to his hotelier owner boss Stacey, an Alaska native, where Rachel is standing in as a bridesmaid and Felix, George’s best friend from college, is best man. Rachel wants to spend her short Alaska stay sightseeing; but too busy putting last-minute touches on Saturday’s wedding and hotel business in preparation for his honeymoon to oblige her and with Alaska the habitat of bears and other such environmental dangers to an unsuspecting visitor, George asks Felix who’s been at the hotel for a week to show her around. Felix, despite still being in love with Devon and disappointed to learn from Rachel that she’s in the midst of a divorce and won’t be attending the wedding, is not averse to showing her all the places in and around Anchorage that he has been exploring the length of his stay, knowing she’ll provide a most pleasant and familiar distraction. He plays her tour guide for the next three days and they have so much fun and so much in common that Rachel is determined nothing happens between them as much as Felix is determined it does. But just as she loses ground and they are about to give in to their attraction; what’s going to happen Devon shows up, happily twice-divorced and expecting to pick up with Felix where they left off ten years ago?
