Description
성혼(成渾, 1535-1598)이 지은 유학을 공부하는 방법에 관한 책이다. 찬자가 제자들에게 공부하고 수신하는 방법을 알려주고자 주자朱子의 글을 발췌하여 엮었는데, 성혼 자신은 스스로 지은 것이 아니어서 제목을 붙이고자 하지 않았으나 후대에 『주문지결朱門旨訣』이라 하였다. 첫 장의 경우는 ｢큰아들에게 주는 글[與長子受之]｣인데, 부모를 섬기는 법과 교우하는 방법, 공부하는 태도, 거처할 때 공경할 것, 겸손하며 술을 지나치게 마시지 말 것, 다른 사람의 허물을 말하지 말 것, 선행을 보면 존경할 것 등 실생활에 필요한 지침으로 이루어져 있다. 다음에는 ｢여위응중서與魏應仲書｣․｢편전주차便殿奏箚｣․｢답주남중서答周南仲書｣․｢답임백화서答林伯和書｣․｢독서지요讀書之要｣․｢창주정사유학자滄洲精舍諭學者｣․｢행장이단行狀二段｣ 등으로 이루어져 있는데, 편지에 대한 답장이 많다. 권말에 1666년(현종 7) 쓴 송시열宋時烈의 발문이 있으나, 1923년의 중간본이다. 소장본에는 표지 이면에 ‘이세마댁李洗馬宅’이라고 쓰여 있다.
