Dit vierde "Jaarboek" behandelt enkele interessante aspecten uit de geschiedenis van kasteel Keukenhof: de collectie maritieme prenten uit de tweede helft van de achttiende eeuw met scènes uit de Slag bij de Doggersbank (1781) en met bruisende gezichten van zeehavens van de Bataafse Republiek, de schelpenverzameling, de "stille getuigen" van de huwelijksrelatie tussen het Amsterdamse patriciersgeslacht Geelvinck en de Gelderse adellijke familie Van Lynden en de werken van Byron in de Keukenhofbibliotheek, aangeschaft door Jonkheer Steengracht, "de redder van Keukenhof". De twee delen van het epos 'Don Juan' zijn de enig bekende exemplaren in Nederland.
