"On the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the War of Independence and the Mexican Revolution, it was decided to undertake the work of rescuing part of Oaxacan historical statistics on the understanding that this work will support the reflection on the past, present and future of the most paradoxical state of Mexico: an entity with a great natural and cultural wealth, while today one of three with the highest economic poverty. This work covers the crisis of the colonial order through the Mexican Revolution, what will be assessed in this century, information covering natural and human-resources, and where we lost the way to achieve the happiness of everyone in the free and sovereign state of Oaxaca."
