Description
The New Zealand Experience: 100 Vignettes is a unique collection of th epersonal experiences of New Zealanders, gleaned from thousands of such pieces written by students of a Human Development course. In order to help students cross the bridge between what is theoretical and what is real, they were asked to describe and event that held major significance in their lives. The results speak volumes; the pieces are frank, touching and often painful, creating a unique picture of New Zealand life from cradle to grave. The stories have been chosen more for their ability to share with the reader a small portion of life's experiences than for their literary merit, and they are arranged into six "life stages", from the Early Years to Late Adulthood.
