Description
The book is a corpus of early Islamic inscriptions from Khor Nubt, a valley in the desert region SW of Port Soudan. Volume I contains 96 unpublished inscriptions in Kufic characters and other 16 ones presenved in the Museum of Khartoum. Each of them has been recorded with the Arabic text, its English translation and a palaeographical and linguistic comment. Volume II contains the photos of the tombstones.
