Description
Johnson informs William Lloyd Garrison that he believes that the Tribune will accept the proposal made to them by Garrison, but stipulates that their papers are presently reluctant to grant column space to published reports of meetings, unless the meeting proves to have been of great popular interest. Johnson inquires if Garrison will be attending the meeting in New York, and invites him and Helen to pass the weekend at his house.
