The Third, so far, in the Daddy Monster Series: Based on the true story, well sort of, of Boppie the Teddy Bear, for he does really exist. With all the fun and magic of the first two books, this time Little Monster asks Daddy Monster to tell the story. Imagine knowing your teddy bear before you were even born! A little bear from a long line of bears whose only desire has been to help children grow. Boppie the Teddy Bear is a child's best friend and conscience stuffed with love. Through school, hard decisions, world peace in the Oval Office, making friends on a Purple Planet, learing to give a friend (in this case Boppie) his glory and a place on Mount Rushmore, and then?! and Then!! asking for another story. As always, fun pictures, a glossary, wrap-around covers, coloring/blooper pages and love.

First Sentence

My daddy is a monster. He's BIG. He's TALL. He's Green. As daddies go, when stories are told, he weaves a dreamy scene. // One winter evening, as our family past the time with a game of Asteroid Strike, I felt one of those funny, peaceful tingles in my tummy. All around me it was nothing but good. Over the fire, Janey dog was cooking us some marshmallows, and a small snack for herself and Pumpkin cat. Swaney cooed on her perch while Fuzzy and Wuzzy, the hamsters, snuggled close -- and my teddy bear Boppie was winning the game! // Lost in a little daydream at night, I cleared my eyes to find mommy and daddy gazing at me. I wanted to hold on to this dreamy fog, so I asked, "Daddy, could you tell us one of your stories tonight? Maybe one with Boppie in it?
