In dit boek ontvouwen Matthie Wellner en Buero Kofink Schels (architecten Simon Jüttner en Sebastian Kofin) het ontwerpproces van T.I.A. House 1 +2, een project dat ze ontwikkelden en bouwden in de stad Almeria aan de Zuid-Spaanse kust. Aan de hand van een reeks ongepubliceerde documenten, schetsen, schaalmodellen en snapshots, onderzochten ze de kritische waarde van real-time improvisatie binnen het vak van de architectuur. Drie aanvullende bijdragen brengen nieuwe 0inzichten inzake praktijkgericht onderzoek en beeldtheorie. De publicatie is het resultaat van een samenwerking tussen KU Leuven, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (ULB) en de Universiteit Luik binnen de researchgroep ?Architecture in Practice?, die onderzoek doet naar de manieren waarop de architectuurpraktijk en academisch onderzoek elkaar kunnen verrijken.
