This is the story of England's greatest admiral and his beautiful mistress, Lady Hamilton. Introduced to high society as a host and maid figure Emily Hart is wild and rebels against her violent master. It was made into the classic film of the same name in 1929 directed by Frank Lloyd. It won Academy Awards for Directing, Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best Cinematography.
