Abstract: Up-to-date information about a variety of vitamin and mineral supplements is provided in this bestseller that advocates the use of supplements for maximum health, energy, and protection against disease. Types of supplements include vitamins, minerals, proteins, and enzymes. The alleged superiority of natural versus synthetic vitamins and helpful ways to use supplements are discussed. "All-natural" foods that can be used as supplements (i.e. brewer's yeast, unsaturated fatty acids, garlic, bran, wheat germ, yogurt, alfalfa, lecithin, cod liver oil, rose hips, honey, bee pollen, propolis, bone meal, blackstrap molasses, kelp, dessicated liver, soybeans) are described. Additional topics include 1) "the nutrient combination that guards against cancer", 2) "the vitamin team that fights alcoholism", 3) "the superfood that transforms athletes", and 4) "the anti-stress mineral".
