This is a missionary's account of her and her husband's work in the early 1900s in the Transkei area of Nkanga in South Africa. Emily Green was a woman before her time - she graduated with a BA from Manchester University's Owens College in 1895. He brother was Hewlett Johnson aka The red dean of Canterbury.
