Biography of Walter Berry, inventor of, among other things, oxygen lances used in making steel. Berry was an innovator, miner, salesman, entrepreneur, wildcatter and philanthropist. Regarding ropeways, he wished to develop a full line of ski lift products as a diversification Pullman-Berry Metal Company. The death of Paul Hunziker, who was assisting in this project, ended the development. (JVL).
