The Building Triangle City Triangle has published a book on architecture in the City Triangle. In 'Buiten Westen - Het nieuwe bouwen in de Stedendrihoek' you will find extraordinary examples of what clients and architects have achieved in the last ten to fifteen years in the Stedendrihoek Apeldoorn-Deventer-Zutphen. We zoom in on three exceptional projects. This is about transformation with special attention to special architecture and sustainability. The City Triangle has a broadly developed economic structure, with manufacturing, business services, healthcare and ICT as driving sectors. People seem to be involved, there are traditionally strong social structures. This is a matter of human size and social cohesion. The location is central in the Netherlands and good accessibility is guaranteed by the A1 and A50, but also by good rail connections and waterways. In the City Triangle there is room for development and innovation. And often development goes hand in hand with valuable architecture. Architecture is a product of the time in which it was created. Transformation of existing locations and buildings can be combined with new architecture, as it turns out. This book shows how beautiful the City Triangle is: in beautiful photos of offices, schools, businesses, apartments and detached houses. Op drie uitzonderlijke projecten zoomen we in. Hier draait het om transformatie met speciale aandacht voor bijzondere architectuur en duurzaamheid. De Stedendriehoek kent een breed ontwikkelde economische structuur, met maakindustrie, zakelijke diensten, zorg en ict als stuwende sectoren. De mensen tonen zich betrokken, er zijn van oudsher sterke sociale structuren. Hier is sprake van een menselijke maat en sociale cohesie. De ligging is centraal in Nederland en een goede bereikbaarheid is gegarandeerd door de A1 en A50, maar ook door goede spoorverbindingen en waterwegen.
