New National Theatre, W.H. Rapley, manager, T. Arthur Smith, treasurer. Daniel Frohman presents E.H. Sothern, Virginia Harned and their company, in the new fairy play (first time in Washington), entitled "The Sunken Bell" (Die Versunkene Glocke), in five acts, by Gerhart Hauptmann, freely rendered into English verse by Chas. Henry Meltzer, the original music, including the preludes and intermezzos, composed especially for this production by Aime Lachaume. Scenery by E.G. Unitt, Daly's Theatre, costumes by Maurice Hermann.
