Description

Speciation techniques used to detect trace elements present in aquatic environments were discussed. It was explained that various spectrophotometric and electrochemical methods were available for trace element detection, however, they were not a part of the American Public Health Association's water analysis standards. In addition, it was illustrated that there was no universal method of delineating species for all trace elements in waters.
