Description
Arnoud, fast 14, verbringt den Sommer 1996 unfreiwillig im kleinen flämischen Heimatdorf seiner Grosseltern. Die Oma ist gestorben und er soll seinem Vater dabei helfen, das Haus zu entrümpeln. Arnoud stellt fest, dass er kaum etwas über seine Grosseltern weiss. Das ändert sich, als er in der Dorfkirche eine Gedenktafel mit dem Namen seines Grossvaters entdeckt. Arnoud erfährt, dass sein Opa während der Besatzungszeit zusammen mit 9 anderen Männern von den Deutschen exekutiert wurde. Dann entdeckt Arnoud das Testament seiner Grossmutter, die ihm merkwürdigerweise alle ihre Bilder vermacht hat.
