Description

This story is set at a time of our nation's growth when railroads were still new and untested. A young woman, loyal to her family, steps up to marry the man deserted by her selfish sister at the altar. A bond slowly develops between the couple, especially when the groom, a journalist, learns of his almost-bride's cruel and selfish nature. A bit of comic relief and shrewd insight is provided by neighbor Miranda. An enchanting story of sacrifice and faithfulness in the face of deceit and relationship difficulty.
