Description
Joseph Zobel est le plus populaire des écrivains antillais. Cette popularité, il la doit à son talent de conteur, mais aussi à sa remarquable faculté de faire revivre les Antilles d'antan. Dans ce recueil, on croise un campagnard qui entreprend une longue marche pour découvrir la mer, on participe à la vie d'un bourg qui s'anime autour de la boutique du coiffeur puis Zobel parle, sans émotion, d'une famille qui illustrait "la négritude en action"; les Nardal. Ce recueil (c'est un peu La Rue Cases-Nègres sous des angles nouveaux), procure un plaisir de lecture aussi grand que le célèbre roman.
