Die fantastischen wie formvollendeten Exponate im DomQuartier Salzburg laden zum Schauen und Staunen ein. Höhepunkte, die erst unlängst Eingang in die über drei Jahrzehnte gewachsene Sammlung fanden, sind in zahlreichen opulenten Bildern in diesem Begleitband dokumentiert. Unter den spektakulären Trouvaillen sind ein Elfenbein-Kruzifix von Georg Petel, des wohl bedeutendsten süddeutschen Bildhauers des 17. Jahrhunderts, der als deutscher Michelangelo gepriesen wurde, und die aus Alabaster geschaffene, grossformatige Raptusgruppe Herakles und Hippolyte des Hohenloher Bildhauers Leonhard Kern, dessen Werke sich in Kunstkammern und Museen der ganzen Welt finden.
